A new key will not start the car until it has been introduced to the immobiliser. The remote has to be paired to lock and unlock. That is what we do.
When a key needs programming
- A new key: the car has to register it for the engine to start.
- A remote that no longer unlocks even with a good battery.
- A lost or stolen key: on many vehicles, programming can remove it from the car's memory so it can no longer start it.
How it works
- You e-mail us at contact@europekey.fr: the vehicle (or the registration) and what is not working.
- We give you the price before any work.
- We agree the place and time of the work with you, with all the keys you still have.
- We test it with you: starting, locking and unlocking.

How much does it cost?
It depends on the vehicle and the type of key (plain blade, chipped key, remote, keyless). We give you the price before any work: you decide with full knowledge.
Why bring all my keys?
On many vehicles, programming registers every key at once: a key missing that day may no longer start the car. We tell you beforehand, depending on your vehicle.
Can a lost key be stopped from starting the car?
On many vehicles, yes: programming removes the keys that are gone from the car's memory. Tell us your vehicle and we tell you whether it is possible.
