The car no longer unlocks from a distance, a button is dead, the remote was dropped or broken: depending on the fault, a battery, a new shell, programming or a new remote sorts it out.

First, the battery

A remote that only works a few metres away, or every other time, often has a weak battery. That is the first thing to check: see shell and battery.

When more is needed

  • The case is broken or the buttons are worn: a new shell is often enough.
  • The remote no longer responds with a new battery: it may need programming again.
  • It is lost, has been in water or is dead: you need a new remote, programmed for your car.

How it works

  1. You e-mail us at contact@europekey.fr: the vehicle (or the registration), a photo of the remote, and what is not working.
  2. We give you the price before any work.
  3. We agree the place and time of the work with you.
  4. We test it with you: locking, unlocking, starting.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the vehicle and the type of key (plain blade, chipped key, remote, keyless). We give you the price before any work: you decide with full knowledge.

My remote is dead but the key starts the car: is it serious?

No: you can still unlock with the blade and start the car. It is often the battery, sometimes the remote itself. Send us a photo of the key and the vehicle: we tell you what to do.

Do you handle every make?

Tell us the make, model and year (or the registration): we tell you whether we can make your key, and the price, before any work.

    A key must be recognised by the immobiliser to start the car, and the remote paired to unlock it: we programme them.

    No keys left, or keys stolen? We make a new key for your car without starting from an existing one.

  4. Shell and battery

    Cracked case, worn buttons, broken ring, weak battery: when only the case is damaged, there is no need to remake the whole key.
